I think SAP is planning to accelerate the last date in California, fearing lawsuits.

Though the last date for being on payroll is May 15th (due to WARN act) and paying of severance package within 45 days from May 15th (by June 30th), SAP is now giving the option to receive

severance package as early as April 15th (last working day is April 1st).

The first wave started in US headquarters in Newtown Square and Canada on March 4th. Those employees have an April 15th exit date unless you are asked to stay on to train people to do your job. So that should work out well trying to train someone in product development when you have 15 years in experience and the trainee is new. Well done SAP!

The final date will vary based on terms and also laws of the State employee lives in as some states like California have more favorable laws protecting employees. FYI opinion US April 15th is also last day for some whom are laid off.

For most laid off folks in the U.S, May 15th is the last working day.

Severance package is expected by June 15th.
