Thread regarding Ford layoffs

I got walking papers on Wednesday, called for help resolving problem Sunday am

This is rich. I got the boot on Wednesday and I just got woke up by a call from Ex coworker asking for help fixing a production problem. This tool has called me to fix his problems for years all the while tossing me under the bus for every problem he created. It Felt so good to tell him to FO. I should of told him to FO years ago.

Good riddance to the Ford mess.

For those yet to be tapped, may you have the pleasure of laughing at the mess left behind.

1zuk must be one of parasites at Ford or have zero social skills. Wake someone up in the middle of the night to see how they are? LOL

Way I see it OP seems to be badmouthing the one person in the company who actually gave enough of a damn about him to call him up.

@onm and @vmy I could not of said it any better. Under my manager there are four people out of close to a hundred that do nearly all the work. They never get the credit from management, and every little thing is blamed on them. Heard our cuts coming first week of April. I am certain at least one of them will be walked out as they confided they got a bs bad review.

@Y7IIYxq sorry you got caught in the lay-off. I am certain your talents will be rewarded by your next employer.

I agree 100 percent with above post that Ford leadership has no respect for hard working knowledgeable folks. It is folks with big mouth who get all the credit. It doesn't surprise me because leaders have no real knowledge to understand the complexity of problems to truly understand who contributed. All decisions are made on flawed perceptions, and generally the hard working employee who has been so busy working has no time to please the boss. All other folks who have no capabilities can spend all their time being yes boss and get all points. It is strange that for that person who contributes there are always 8 or 10 available to critique, give advice or review work products, none of them will ever contribute, can never deliver and those are keepers.

@Y7IIYxq your post made me laugh (in a good way) because it is so true. The culture of Ford is such that those who do the actual work are the least valued on the team. Those who keep to themselves and actually get things done make those who do very little look bad, so they are bad mouthed at every turn. I see this daily in my org. I am sorry you were part of the layoff, but you will land on your feet and be glad you are out of this toxic mess. My thoughts are with you.
