Are they going to be eliminating the customer service positions? Rumor is the customer hosts will be doing returns now at the front doors. Is this true?

Well, if there is a line of customers and the employees are on their phone and not taking care of the customers the customers should call for a csm or a member of management. Hard to believe they are standing there on their phones while the line is building up and no one is saying anything and no repercussions. That does not happen at my store.. so idk about others. I thought the same thing about the customer hosts. How are they going to be checking receipts and doing a return at the time time? Along with all the other tasks that will be bestowed upon them. Also cash refunds by the door? Doesn’t seem very safe. Imagine the crowds coming into the store around the holidays and there a line forming in front of the front doors. Such great ideas corporate come up with!
Pff WHAT customer service? Every time I walk by there it's a bunch of ghetto girls scrolling their phones and chatting each other up with lines of mad customers waiting to be helped
I did read a statement from Foran stating customer host will have more responsibility and require lifting and doing refunds at the door, to include cash refunds. Really 🤔🤔. So while their tied up doing refunds who watching for pushouts and greeting the incoming customers. Oh that's right the word greet is no longer in their job title. He also stated this is why those with disabilities that prevent them from performing these duties will be considered for another position.
One has to assume with the AP Customer Hosts doing some returns that the desk will loose some hours.
