Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Does Ford Plan to Lay Off Contractors?

I'm a green badge and I'm very worried that they might do a sweep like GM did.

Yes...all contractors in PDC are target except those on H1b, with low salaries....and with Green cards being processed....enough of this immigration "cant find local talent" BS

H1b have become dime a dozen in the last 10 years starting 2009..what a goofed up hiring....

More than likely BS on the LL5 and LL6 not having input. There were open discussions in a number of PDCs about leaving breadcrumbs for HR with the PR. That is why you saw a number of people have very low Achiever rankings with no substantiation. And a number of people with artificially high rankings with no substantiation. They stacking the deck that that the favorite friends get kept and others get cut.

I’m my area, LL5 and LL6 have had no input into this reorg. They are being blindsided like everyone else. The planning for this was done at much higher levels...Executive Director and VP

Contractors are going it’s just so far upper management is in the crossfire. Once the LL5/6 level start choosing who is going/staying you will see most likely a purge on contractors at least as much as blue badge.

At this point, no one is safe. Be ready for the worst.

Also, don't work so hard. Performance has nothing to do with these actions. It's all about $$/position cut at this point.
