Thread regarding Ford layoffs

So watching someone who has worked there a while go through the ups and downs.

The person waited patiently while Jack Nasser ruined the company, and knew the company would eventually see what he was doing and get rid of him. Then continued to work over 50 hours a week. ( as I know so many at Ford do) as Ford turned around and the promise of higher wages once it returned to good health. The raises remained small and never got the big raises the top of the company received.

Then the Ford employee gave Hackett a chance. But very soon it seems he doesn't know a lot about running a company. Watches him on web meetings and can't even keep watching, because who knows what he is saying. Also receives emails, the same, hard to read because what is he saying.

Hopes that the board will see that Hackett does not know how to run Ford Motor Company. Instead the board is still listening to Hackett and his consultants. The last time they used consultants they helped to ruin Ford. Why don't they learn from past mistakes?

Why does it take the board so much longer than the Ford employee ?

The Board is subservient to Bill Jr. They won't lose faith in Hackett until Bill Jr does, and based on Junior's ridiculous "Jim has a big brain" comments, it doesn't sound like it's going to happen anytime soon.

Retired, thankfully, and feel the same way. All the hard work and vision by Mullaly is being undone. Didn't Ford learn anything after Jac Nasser??

Well said

The board believes whatever they are told as they serve Ford. Compensation for concurrence.

The Hackett emails and videos are a hoot. He just does not get the Ford leadership team and all their hidden agendas. They understand a two by four upside the head, not theoretical physics tomes.

All the hard work Mulally did has been undone. The pitch fork wielding manure stirrers are back to their pre-Mulally antics.

Someone should make a montage of what the leaders routinely say in status meetings and juxtapose that with the me-talk-pretty webcasts that they make for public viewing. That would certainly upset the koolaid trolley.
