Given the sorry state of Rite Aid's IT I am surprised the cuts are not deeper. The senior lineup is clueless and if we were to pull the plug on them nobody would notice. When it comes to grunts like you and me, people are hard working and it's OK, but mgmt and up, OMG.

IT cuts were through attrition. As folks retired or resigned we were unable to fill those positions. Many of the offshore support resources were also cut. There were other IT positions eliminated in this lay-off. The effect of these cuts will be felt everywhere. IT will support the business where needed through this process and expend their efforts on the initiatives that will allow the company to survive.
