WM is already the biggest retailer and there is only so much people can buy. No doubt that as people shift their shopping to the internet that it will affect sales in real physical stores. I’m not saying that that's something that will hit us” tomorrow”, but it’s a gradual process that is going to reshape retail. Think that all of us who thought of having a career in retail need to rethink that decision and perhaps move into other businesses.

This is already true at my store. We're already having bad surveys of customers that visit, and there are about 20 of us shopping. They say we are in there way, but they are in ours. It's sad in a way, but it will continue to be an issue. I keep saying that one day, the doors will be closed, and it will just be people shopping, stocking, unloading trucks, and delivery goods. That the only way to buy anything is to have it picked up or delivered.
@ infh, that attitude is brought to us by people who themselves are bus drivers, slaughter house janitors, dental assistants and truck stop waitresses. I.e., THEY AIN'T SH!T EITHER
It already feels like being a second class citizen if you work on the store business. Rethink is a mild term.
