As someone who just got laid off from her company (I'm here checking it out because my husband works for Ford, so we're a little anxious), I have to differ with the OP's declaration.
My co-workers and I started following this forum as soon as the rumors started, and I would say 80-85% of the posts were spot-on and gave information that proved to be correct. Yes, there are trolls here, and you do get some incorrect information, but all in all I would tell you to pay attention to what you read.
The only thing I didn't do was start looking beforehand--I held out for severance, which may or may not have been a mistake, since I haven't found a new job yet--but live and learn, I guess.

I’m not saying layoffs aren’t real. I’m just saying there are a lot of misinformation on this site.
I understand that you want to know your job is safe. And know what’s going on. But stop spreading rumors that’s is making your coworkers nervous. And get back to work
You're an a--. Those of us that work at Ford are witnessing this first hand. I love this company. I hate this CEO. Worst CEO this company has ever seen. Only consolation is he'll be dead from obesity, or retired due to not being able to move about due to obesity before Ford ever delivers on their autonomous vehicle promise. By then all those he has axed will be back on their feet, or even called back.

What are those on this site lying about? Is Ford not firing high-level managers and cascading down from there? Are they not notifying employees (soon former) in meetings when they receive their bonus? Is it not a 9 month severance maximum? Are they not giving those fired until the end of the month? Seems pretty consistent to me!

This site is controlled by Ford competitors and all they want is to destroy Ford and it's reputation. People should not be gullible and should always check information sources - since this is an anonymous site, nothing can be checked.
