Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

The DCEH scandal is not even newsworthy...

People are talking today about how unfair admissions at elite schools are. Because of one scandal.

That's a news story. Because the thousands of victims here are working class people, it will get little traction in the media.

What many people cannot process is that US higher education has always been corrupt from the top down, and that it has always benefited the rich at every turn. It's not just this scandal, but it's the system. Even at a sector level, it includes a history propped up by genocide and oppression (see Wilder's Ebony and Ivy). It's the system that allowed George Bush II to attend Yale and Harvard, and the system that allowed Jared Kusher's father the right to buy his son's slot into Harvard.

That's just the point. Who would? But as long as the paycheck was bank, the mass delusionism prevailed, I suppose It's scary how people en mass will allow themselves to be so easily lied to.

First it was the student prey and now the so-called educated ones:

WHAT IS STOCKHOLM SYNDROME?

Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological term used to describe the paradoxical phenomenon of the relationship that develops between a captor and its hostage. In such a relationship, to the amazement of onlookers, the hostage expresses empathy and positive feelings towards their abusive captor, and often they will display a desire to defend them.

Sound Familiar? What a mess.

So make it known. Contact local and national news. Tell them no one was paid, that benefits aren't paid, that students who were in their final classes lost everything, that stipends were stolen, that student employees haven't been paid. Make it all know and send them to Dottore for answers. Regardless of the shadiness of EDMC recruiting-many staff, faculty and ALL students were not involved and paying the price. Get coverage. Email, call, Facebook message. Send them to I Am Ai on Facebook to talk to students. Send them to faculty who are still trying to help students after being fired and not paid. Make them cover it

Family Dollar closing a few stores got more media than Ai and AU.

Well until the current administration, there was an active attempt to stop predatory enrollment practices and guess what that took DCEH (AI, Argosy and South) down because no one in their right mind would enroll to a school like these if they had the facts.

There's only 30k journalists left in all of America, and they work mostly in big cities on the coast writing clickbait articles to maximize ad revenue. You think art students at a private college are going to bring in clicks?
