Just heard that if you are a dispatch from home tech and you live out of the system that you will not be taking your truck home any more. Also the LTA guys getting paid OT to drive to the job from the depot will not be paid OT for drive time. To much OT to justify the cause??? What else can they take....

Oh no, they’ve pulled out their secret weapon, mnemonics! I guess if you figured out a little memory helper, your smart enough to vote no.
I see a lot of give on our side, what are we going to get out of all this?
2% less or fired when you don't make your number and don't even think about leaving early
30 day notice on all vacation LMAO
Need I go on all perks are gone hope you pick a good shop steward
So we resort to calling each other names and bashing our opinions? We work for the same company with the same end goal which is a good company with a good paycheck and benefits and a secure future. No side is right or wrong except when they are bashing the other side with insults. Stick together whether union or not and that makes us strong. Otherwise we sound like a bunch of uneducated bullies. And not for nothing, if I personally could go back to my parents basement and not pay all the ridiculous taxes and mortgage I probably would!! The writing is on the wall, it just depends on whether or not you want to read it..
Dear Altice, please take our complimentary service accounts away as well, after all, you are not mandated to provide it. And hey, it’ll make you a ton of money when all of your employees are paying for service! Maybe we should volunteer to buy our own boots, uniforms, cell phones, and iPads. Because none of those things are technically benefits. Just give us a 7/16th wrench and a bag of fittings, we’ll do the rest!
“Stand by longer than you can imagine”? I can imagine you think more of your self and your contributions than your supervisor or manager did. Is that why you feel froggy? Congratulations, we went union. Now show me a contract that makes this headache worth it.
A company must offer you health care if it’s over a certain size. How good it is and affordable is up to
them. They don’t need to offer free cable or a company vehicle.
It’s called a benifit. Kind of like the free cable and health care. Isn’t the union is supposed to help us keep benefits? Let’s see if you can fuel up your Lexus with your union membership card, because that and $35 will get you a full tank of gas.
So it would be safe to say you don’t buy your own gas, or have to use your own car for your commute to work. WOW...welcome to the real world. Sounds to me you are bitter about losing your free ride. Maybe your the one who needs to move back into the basement.
Isn’t the mighty union going to help you out? Or is it because of voting yes that they are tightening down? What incentive for the company is there to give us any unwritten benefits? We voted for this, first our trucks getting parked at the shop, next maybe you don’t get a transfer because some other guy who does half the work you do, happens to have a few more years on the job. And top it off with %2 being siphoned out of your pay check, and no chance of getting a merit based raise, paying for your own gas and maintenance on your bmw is gonna get expensive. Hope mom and dad don’t mind you living in the basement for a few more years!
I've always said that guys living out of the system should not be allowed to be DFH. seriously, what benefit does the company get that your using their vehicle and gas to drive 45 minutes and some guy an hour outside of the system. it's simple, you live out of the system, you don't produce for them, you're done. There's guys in my shop that DFH over an hour outside of the system. Stupid
I Think what it means isDriving your truck home from the depot if you’re out of the system will no longer be allowed. And yes long term assignment guys are paid to get in their trucks at 6 o’clock at the depot and drive to the location where the job starts at 7:30 and that is being paid as overtime. It will no longer be over time to drive from the depot to the shop Your working. If your shift starts at 7:30 and it’s your responsibility to be there when the shift starts. No different then a Guy who lives in PA driving 45 minutes to the office in NJ It will just be considered part of your commute. If you don’t like it… You know how it goes
They can do whatever they want if it’s not written into a contract
They can't do that ,driving from depot to your job it's working now driving from home to your job that was never consider working and was never paid from the get go
