Biding time to retirement, will step down after receiving a hefty severance pay and pension for life. For now have signed a pact with the devil - mutual fund companies that prop up the stock for its earnings. All is well if they don't complain. The chain of management is happy to play along if it means golfing instead of innovating.
This will go down as IBM's lost decade.
