Being a 20-year RAD store-level veteran whose longtime home store closed this past summer,the best thing I can do in the wake of today's bloodbath/shakeup at 30 Hunter Lane is take this with a grain of salt and hope no further closures occur in NorCal anytime soon(8 Sactown-area closures within the past 13 months).It would be relatively interesting going back to work tomorrow(today was a day off).
There is a story behind what happened today with Rite Aid. A very powerful person or organization(s) weighed in and forced out Crooked Standley and the others. Somebody with a LOT of money and power is the only logical explanation behind what happened today. Bodaken has always been in Crooked Standley’s pocket, and there’s no way he would do this on his own.
So who was it? Vanguard? Blackrock? Both? Bezos? Buffet? I would really love to know the exact circumstances of Crooked Standley’s demise. I hope we find out someday.

It looks like 200+ in PA - also, John Standley will leave after new CEO is appointed. CFO Darren Karst and COO Kermit Crawford will also leave the company. Chief Accounting Officer is now Matt Schroeder (also has CFO title now) and Bryan Everett is appointed as the COO.
A major shuffle. I have zero confidence that we'll not be delisted from the stock exchanges.
If that happens, more pain will follow.
What's your confidence that we'll not go bankrupt? I have zero confidence.

I was laid off about 4 hours ago through a conference call. "Clock out" and we'll send you a packet in the mail with information on severance.
I used to work at FSS (one of their IT buildings) and the layoffs are finally happening there, too.
The ship has been sinking for awhile now, but the water is really starting to flood at the corp. level!
