People lead position what they are not telling us

How come no one knows anything? Mhrm 's all over seriously know nothing? Come on roll out a new position, get rid of people that they say are instrumental in the company and know no details? Is is hourly or salaried? They must know !!! It because they are scare we will all just leave with severance. They want us all to take another position,but won't say that. They are waiting to blast all of us with the real truth. I think we all would be better off not giving them the satisfaction of even trying for it. Let them try to find someone better. It will never happen . They can't treat us all thus way and expect us to just say ok ..good luck everyone. Take a real long look at this company. Would you really be happy working in another area after working in personnel? Make sure you make the right move because you won't get offered severance again . God bless!

I emailed Doug McMillan it went to the regional manager and my store manager so you might as well forget that. They came and talk to me and never did go where I wanted it to. And I didn’t think it was a big deal that I even wrote but Doug doesn’t get our stuff. And I’m a 32 year associate. They want you to shut up and put up LOL

I completely agree on that one. Way too much for 1 person to handle. I'm in over my head by myself in that office. But I go in every day, with a smile on my face and give 100% Just the stress trying to get everything done by yourself is enough to say...no thank you to this People Lead position. There is no way it could get any easier. My files have already gone digital and its still way too much for one person..

My TC already left. Let me tell you, this thing doing the PC and TC thing is WAY too much for 1 person. If this new People LEad is going to be like this, HELL, I don't want it. Too much for 1 person to do. Nervewracking and not enough pay. I'm looking for another job.

Our TC has until June to apply for other positions available in the store, transfer to another store, or she can take severance package and leave. Our PC, i believe, will be the new people lead. Not 100% sure, but that's what everyone is saying.

Mr/Mrs MHRM that commented. Then tell us what did you go to meetings about for 2 days? What did you discuss if it wasn't about PC and TC and new role? From what we are being told this could have been covered on a 10 minute conference call. What justified Walmart to fly you all somewhere to be told NOTHING?

I posted The new job (People Lead) and the job description on my associate board

I started getting my files ready last week, but having trouble getting the efiling training toolkit to come up. I only have till week 10 to get them ready. I’m getting ready for whatever is layed at my feet.

I Will be glad when they tell us everything about the new job,severance and when they will interview.

There is a part of me that’s excited to find out more, the other part is relived to know I might not have to put up with Wal-Mart bs anymore......

We were told we could each apply for the People Lead position. We still have not been told yet our jobs were going away and we have not been offered another job or severance pay. There has been nothing else said about the People Lead in our store since. Everything is really hush hush. Do they think that we don't know that they have already been talking to other people about applying for the job whom they want to be in this position? They want someone who has blinders over their eyes when it comes to not following policy. They don't want someone who is going to speak up when policy is not being followed or someone is being mistreated. This would be the only reason that none of us would be offered People Lead. All of us are far more qualified than anyone else with the many years each of us has as PC and TC.

They gave us more than the usual 60 days to find a job or take severance time frame. Is it still hard? Yes. But that extra grace time to prepare is helpful.

I still think it is awful how we were never actually told that our positions were being eliminated. Only to be told that there was a new position being created and that we were welcome to apply for it? I'm not sure I've ever heard of anything so disrespectful . We I have over 25 years in. .this just may be the time to get out ...

Yes, you are right, hold your head high. You and the rest of us have done an awesome job. We are never told that. One thing, if I don't get the job, I WILL NOT train anyone else. Let them figure it out. Sad but isn't it bad enough you eliminate my job, make me reapply for it and then tell me to my face there is no guarantee you will get this new role after I literally have all the necessary qualifications? Slap me in the face twice. Isn't that a slap in the face after doing this job for 20+ years? You are right, something is just not right. Did you ever get the feeling they want to get rid of us? I do. All PC/TC should band together and email the CEO. May he will listen. Maybe not. I feel we are being dealt a true injustice here. Just not fair. I understand this People Lead is a new position. Make us

re interview for it? Not fair. It all leads back to my thought, they want to get rid of us long term people. Sam would not approve. I too will work hard until the bitter end and walk out with my head held high knowing I did an awesome job without ever being told, great job, great work, we value you and the job you have done. Hmmm I have never heard any of that. Maybe its time to work for another company who values its employees and tells them so.

I have 3 weeks to get my files ready to be shipped out,received my Iron Mountain shipping boxes today. I will be working my butt off for someone else to come in and take over and will probably have to train them......lord help us all some things are just not right. I will do my job till the bitter end and walk out with my head held high, i know ive done an awesome job.........just my thoughts for the night

MHRM here. I know my team doesn’t believe me when I tell them I don’t have any other details, but it’s true. We aren’t bad people. We’re just as much in the dark and it’s frustrating to not have answers. I hate that you are going through this. I’m sure the MHRM role is on the short list as well.

Just this week, I asked our MHRM. She said she knew absolutely nothing about the position. I do not believe that one bit. This position has to be salary and they know that 75% of us will not be the one chosen for this role. I feel with this elimination, we should be pay protected.

agree MHRM's know what is going on but they cannot tell otherwise if they would tell us, we would bail and who in the hell would be there to do all the bull work. Lies, all lies, they lie to our faces and swear they know nothing. I believe in KARMA.

Doesn't hit home till it happens! Company implements new structure changes and stores not following SOP that's where the kink in the chain happens. Prime example Cash office follow structure there is no ownership can't have every csm in office like a revolving door.

Exactly. They know. Why would MHRMs have been flown to meetings for 2 days and told absolutely nothing about this new position. They lie to prevent PCs from leaving before this paperless office is complete. Do they think we are stupid? Anyone that has been with this company long enough knows when we are being lied to.

I am tired of all the favoritism. Associates need to get together and tell the CEO exactly what goes on in stores. Maybe its time to treat everyone fairly and not based on who you are and what your "Situation" is. When the Market or Regional Mgrs come, management is all on their best behavior. What a joke. If they would only know the REAL TRUTH.

Agree, they know, they want us long term associates OUT. Good luck finding people outside of Walmart to work in HR. People that do get a hell of a lot more money than they pay us. They are trying to scare us so we quit. They want us long term PC/TC's out so they can pay a new person cheaper wages because us "long" term associates are too expensive. Well, you get what you pay for. We are told no guarantees as to whether we get the position. Well, I'll apply for it. If I don't get it, see ya. Maybe its time to move on and work for a new company that appreciates and values its associates, a company that treats its employees with respect and integrity, a company that treats its employees fairly . Its pathetic that some managers approve absences for some while dinging others for absences because it depends on who you are and who your manager is. You say something to mgmt about it and you are the one starting ISSUES and TROUBLE. I don't call this an ethical company I call it a joke.

I have a feeling this will be a salaried position also. I don't think they want to say yet . What position has been created in which nothing is known about it??? The pay? Hours?? Think about it....just wish we would be informed so we can look for another job.

You honestly think they want us to stay? That's funny. They want us to leave. Dont let them push you out. And yes we are going to do the c-ap work for whoever replaces us. My bet is it will be an ASM that wants to step down or someone off the street since anyone can apply. Can't cut it as an ASM? Here you go...be the new People lead. Oh you worked in HR for ToysRus or KMart..here you go be our new People lead.

I read today on the AMP where the job will be posted in May. We have a Zoom call on Thursday on the E-FILING , so that’s coming soon. I’m sure they want us (pc) to get all the work done before we get the boot. I really don’t know if I want to apply yet or even want the headache, (i’m 59) I really in my opinion think it will be salary and similar to ASM. Im sure the MMHR knows what’s going on......just my thoughts.
