Just got a return text from a now former co-worker. He went out on a medical leave the beginning of February and was due back today. Few of us chipped in and bought coffee, bagels, etc...to welcome him back and he was a no-show. Someone else asked our manager where he was and the question was ignored. I texted him and he replied that he received a call late in the day on Friday and was told his position was eliminated and he wasn't to come back.

that happened to my friend a few years back. was out do to cancer and she was told no never come back
When I left DST in 2017 they laid off a woman on our team who was out recuperating from ****ing eye surgery.

Yeah dont trust medical leave anymore...similar thing happened with another coworker prior to 2019...was on fmla for a long time then they wouldnt bring him back...
