Through all the wreckage, I find it interesting that the oldest school South University (Est. 1899) of the three former DCEH brands, still remains and is growing. Sources before the collapse told me that South University made 30+ million in 2018, which was then used to bail out AU and Ai. Remember those raises. Thank South University. Out of the three schools that I encountered, South University had the best programs and a stable approach to education. It will be nice to see them flourish without the incompetent leadership of DCEH executives at the helm.

In other matters:
"— The parties explained that the two South University campuses retained by DCEH/receivership would be taught out by South campuses now operated by EPF/Studio. With the landlords for those campuses demanding to be paid, it’s unclear how the logistics of that arrangement would work out."
At this late date?
South an "amazing school?" Pathetic delusionalism.
I hope South comes out strong. It is very sad what DCEH has done to an amazing school.
ADA’s At Ai got raises last year when DCEH took over. It was hush hush. My manger said if we talked about it we could get fired. Lol.. that raise couldn’t keep me there. I left shortly after.
After speaking with several long term employees, they could not recall even a cost of living raise. At least 6 years or possibly more. I'm not sure where you got the information about "raises".
"South university is finally paying all vendors, no late payements..."
So Ignatz, are they "finally" paying all vendors because the original payments were late or what?
South university is finally paying all vendors, no late payements etc etc, because the money stays where it was generated! As it should be.
Says who?
South University actually had its beginnings as Draughton Business College in 1899 in downtown Savannah, GA. John South and his family purchased the business college sometime in the late 1970s and renamed the college as South University, instead of South College as South College was located in Tennessee. South University has very strong programs across all the on-ground campuses and South University Online programs and has survived the EDMC years, in spite of multiple business challenges with EDMC and lawsuits. Administration, faculty and staff had high hopes with Dream Center Education Holdings purchase in late 2016 early 2017 when we heard they were a faith-based, philanthropic organization and had "big plans" for South University's growth and improving South University campuses and Online reputation. However, there was suddenly zero communication from DCEH throughout the past 2 years and no one actually knew what financial problems DCEH inherited from their purchase. Later in 2018, many layoffs at all SU campuses, including administration and faculty, suddenly occurred and still no communication from DCEH or SU Administration. Hoping all the remaining South University campuses and South University will survive and thrive in spite of the damage done by EDMC and DCEH to a great institution I have been proud to work for and hope to continue to work for.
Who is South named after? I forgot, but it’s a person, right?
There were many years that Ai propped up the company in this way. Their big slide, beginning in 2011 was a big reason why EDMC fell. Yes, South eventually became the leader as they lost less students than Ai.
What raises? We saw no raises
Sure they are, you are just so informed.
And yet they still may lose accreditation and close. Anyone still at South is on a sinking ship.
"South University made 30+ million in 2018"
Lol and 13 million in 2019 so far
When did they not?
