Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Still waiting to see what happens in my store. They told the market that most likely, no one from personnel would be eliminated...the same teams would run personnel. Unless they did damage control and said that to make all the personnel teams feel like their jobs are safe.

Not quite sure why they are being so vague with the details.

We were told today by the MHRM requisitions open in May. Interviews done in May. People lead will be in role after that. MHRM wouldn't commit to telling what the schedule will be.

Not soon enough imo

Before they were sent out, active associates who had a paper I9, EEO sheet, and background check had to be pulled from the binders and put into their Personnel file. Staples had to he pulled out of the file itself. Make sure you have everything filed. We went through this as the commendation and PASS sheets were ready. So trying to get those back, signed and filed was a chore. If something needs to be sent to your digital cabinet, you scansend it to yourself and email it out. The entire digital process is great. I seem to discover something new daily. No more take home packets! Once the applicant accepts the job offer, a email is sent to them with a link to complete their paperwork! Takes a little getting used to. But I really think its great!

What did you do to ready your files?

Any idea where the training will be?? Possibly at the Academy?

Starts in August. Training is already available for those interested. Jobs will be posted in June to begin the interview process. Out of store training in July with the position officially starting in August is what we were told.

When we ask our Market Mgr, we are told they do not have any information about when it will start. I'm thinking after May because that will be when everything will be digitized. We sent our files out last week .

All we have been told is quarter 2, may,June or July. I will imagine before July, people lead should start August that will be first month of 3Rd quarter
