I had to sign one to settle with AI Portland over a wrongful termination when it was still owned by EDMC. Is EDMC even around anymore? Can we talk without risk of a lawsuit? My agreement said I could be sued for $5,000 per each violation of the agreement. So. About a month after the settlement I told a former co-worker I received a settlement. I didn’t even say how much it was for, but within a week got a threatening letter from EDMC council.

Interesting sleazy and oh so lawerly point. I don't mean this to be a condemnation of your tenure at Sleaze University because at least you're now fessing up which is a lot more than I can say about the majority of the go along to get along near child molester teaching staphylococcus. I hasten to add that the arbitration agreement (just sign this) get out of jail free card was also a solid (10) on the Sleaze-O-Meter. It's great to know that there was NO COLLUSION!!! from the get go..
I too have an NDS however my lawyer made it clear that it only applied when making definitive statements. For example if someone asked me if my settlement was equal to 5 years salary I can answer with, “that could be what I was offered.” The subtle use of “could be” protects me. It’s very similar to how we spoke with students. We never guaranteed anything so we had plausible deniability.
This is a question for your lawyer, not the disgruntled hive mind.
EDMC is in bankruptcy, but they technically still exist.
