It’s funny how the main focus of the media was Eddie’s announced effort to save the jobs of workers at remaining stores. Nearly every article on the subject contained the sentence…. “In his efforts to save 50 000 jobs”. It seems as the accepting of the bid got near the media started to drop the numbers of jobs that are going to be saved. First, they lower the number to 45k than 40k, and now I see some of the media mentioning even lower numbers. When the numbers are lowered in that rate whos to say they won’t be lowered even more. It seems that the main focus of the new company will be cutting jobs, instead of saving them as they claimed.

He vowed to preserve jobs but it will be for about a few weeks until he finds some more stores to close and sell off. Really, he just bought a little more time for all parties involved.
The remainder will still keep their jobs but the hours of those who remain will be cut, again . Some may not even receive any hours at all for a week or two, but, hey, their job was saved by Eddie!
