Yes, there are still people at QCOM holding down the fort who are more than worth hiring. Would be an asset to any FAANG. When you can survive a tough work environment, thriving in a logical one is infinitely easier.
Effective current employees are stuck in a precarious work/kid balance. Moving to the Bay area currently when a child is still in middle/secondary school is an expensive proposition. Worth the risk, but financially hard to swing. A lot of lessons and schools are more affordable here, for comparable quality. And the housing is what, about 2.5 times more expensive for what you get in SD.
Yes. Good bye worthless people. Less to share in the bonus pool once we harvest the golden apple of its treasure.
This is basic math.
We are awarded a great victory in court and now have to share with fewer people.
Please get rid of more worthless people before we receive the Apple reward.

Dude, I'm still here, resting and vesting, hardly contributing. I'm not stupid enough to leave after 20 years unless handed severance, aka golden handshake. And as long as they keep us around, continue to pay us well and leave me mostly alone I have no intention of cutting off the goose laying golden eggs.
Sheesh, I do feel bad for those being pushed, abused, harassed, by management, the same management who, as myself, are doing very little while collecting our pay. We are just waiting to be told to leave.

Is there anyone left worth hiring? I was class of 2018 and moved on to a FAANG. I’ve personally passed on many QCOM resumes. Too many Qcommers needed the micro-management because they couldn’t think for themselves. Also half the slackers had trouble showing up before 11:00.
You don't need to be aware of a specific layoff to know they are coming. Come on, don't live with your head in the sand, or between your legs
