This company has been run into the ground by the previous owners, board and the C wing. I would not be surprised to see NMG in a couple years on American Greed. It is the worst operationally run company in retail. They do not even know what they own and they have not released inventory results in 3 years. If I were the Canadian pension fund owners I would be raiding those offices like the swat team and marines did on El Chapo. I would imagine those books are being cooked like Enron. There’s probably a furnace running right now. No surprise they couldn’t do an IPO. I imagine forensic accountants would have had a field day going through those books. Those unreported shortage numbers have to be going somewhere. No wonder the C wing have been running through the company like a swift wind, probably trying to get out before the titanic goes down. Everything the company once stood for is gone. Employee appreciation, customer first, etc. The vacation change sums up everything the new regime stands for, prepare to get eliminated as cheap as possible, so the C wing and the board of directors can pocket more $, while hiding assets that have resulted in lawsuits.

I heard that Neiman’s laid off all of their talent and are now only hiring college kids or elderly that will work for minimum wage while paying out huge bonuses to upper management to not leave and put pressure on lower management to perform.

And folks wonder why the 1% thrives while the rest of us fight over sc-aps....

A buddy of mine was thinking of applying to NM recently, I think for an assistant manager/supervisor type position. What did they do to vacation time? does anyone have an overview of benefits package? Thanks

Per the original post, they cut the vacation time or did something to it that is really bad. Sounds like they are buffering to lay-off upper management, in probably the stores and definitely corporate. The bread and butter store employees don’t make enough to worry about. Lay-off one director and it’s like laying off 200 salespeople. Best way to save is to cut what you have to pay them when they leave. Thank you for your service, but not really, just get the f$&k out. Thanks for playing...

Word is that there’s a possibility that a few of the C wing leaders were forced out. Maybe for not being puppets, hopefully for them they got to ride out on a golden parachute of immunity or they’re probably just going to land in a world of $hit.

Yeah, Grimes didn’t want to go to pound em in the a$$ prison like Fastow “for exploiting loopholes”. You know like Abra Cadabra and all a sudden there’s no shortage and we’re making money! Huh? What about the several million in shortages we just reported? What shortages? just tell everyone we came in on target for all stores. We just GE’ed those numbers and we’re good. Enjoy that bonus!
