Thread regarding Sears layoffs

ESL bought Sears to get it out of bankruptcy.

So now the long road to recovery is on. At least there is a fresh outlook... Oh wait a minute! Didn't ESL buy Kmart out of Bankruptcy? Everything was glorious and wonderful after that wasn't it!!! Grabbed another retailer and then took the 2 back to bankruptcy. Kicked out 200,000+ employees while at it.

Hope he gets another retailer real soon to start the cycle again!

Thank you for continuing the SLOW and miserable death spiral. Now let's see if: 1. the technology is updated, 2. Updated clothing and accessories are brought in, 3. Stores appearances are brought up to date and stylish. Maybe this has happened in a few select stores(?), but not in others. (There are stores still working off the same IBM registers that were there when the stores were built). And it is even harder to get someone to come out to fix them. (Oh yes, many stores went through the holidays with only half of the registers working, but HEY, they made it work because they HAD to.) Prediction is that there will be an average of 3 stores closed per month. Let's sit back and watch the noose tighten until the business is choked to death. Good thing some employees were grandfathered in with their pension plans (or maybe not/who knows!!) At least customers can now be told that the business has survived to see another day,(?) and will stop asking when the stores are going to close. At least until another store closing list comes out, which will probably be soon. THANKS JUDGE AND EDDIE, YOU gentlemen ARE ALL HEART AND KNIVES.
