I'm not sure they're really layoffs, more people that were on transition already scheduled to depart. Remember, there were probably over a 1000+ on transition in the US alone. I do know that some people have been offered permanent positions before their transition ended. From what I can see so far, at least in the MFBU, they really do intent on expanding in areas where they think they can grow. How long that will last I'm sure will be based on results, but so far the Broadcom acquisition has been a blessing. I've noticed a dramatic positive change in attitude from the previous regime.
