Thread regarding Atos layoffs

ATOS UK IT staff layoffs

Seems Atos UK are getting rid of 150 UK technical jobs , i myself are one of the victims.

Glad to see the back of the company badly managed and pretend to be ahead if the curve, in reality treat employees as robots.

Truth is they are overstretched in a failing market, all new work is pushed offshore.

They will soon have no talented UK staff as most will leave now.

Also hearing rumours that the Met police deal has no chance of renewal and we'll be out the door, so more cuts to come from from that no doubt. Leavers aren't being replaced and lots of gaps in teams. Not sure where it will end.

They'll get what they pay for. Clueless offshore resources that perform poorly, hurt delivery and make huge mistakes every week. They're also about as loyal as an alley cat due to low pay. If they can get 5 more rupees per hour they'll quit and move on.

There is not much left in the US. 90% offshore target. Layoffs will be global due to financial performance, nobody is safe.

Do you think they will layoff in the United States the IT jobs also?

Fully agree and those of us remaining are being pushed beyond breaking only the fact that we are all in the same boat and supporting each other keeps us going. No pay rises, no thought, broken processes and a feeling of "UK resources cost too much" prevails.
