XpWpHT7-awm. Lol u are totally triggered.
OMG, you sound triggered and unhinged. Please seek help.
If your are seriously defending the economy, you deserve exactly what you are going to get. And you will be terribly sorry you didn't pay attention to all the signs.
Pay attention, things are about to go downhill even faster.
You had the biggest market drop in December 2018 in ten years, followed by the biggest market gain in history in the month of January 2019.
Now look at the history of Venezuela stock market and that is the same path America is taking, no joke. We are collapsing.
Coincidence? I think not... do some research you daft fool.
Warning people here is helping them plan. Dark times are coming to America.
Big loser on here major commie troll with all the namegstibe posts.
FYI my neighbors house was listed $50k above what my others neighbors house sold for...in three weeks and then it sold an additional $15k above asking. Just face it there’s stories that are positive and negative out there always have been. Have you even checked the "consumer volatility" ? Do you know how many stores and big chain stores are closing? Right now, today, at this very moment??? Get with the program, its doomy AND gloomy out there. DO SOME RESEARCH...EVERYTHING IS COLLAPSING.
Yeah, cuz Americans are spending money they don't even have (credit cards) on things they don't even need. Americans are tapped out.
Yeah, its a great day in America.
I'll probably be working at Burger King if I get laid off. They seem to be hiring and paying well above industry standards. Great day in America, I tell ya. Not shortage of fast food places looking to hire and fat people that want to eat there. America is great I tell ya.
FYI, when you see homes on market doing huge price drops, that is never a good sign. Its all cyclical so we will see a downturn in housing at some point - when they sell quick, they were priced right and perhaps priced to sell in the case of someone needing to sell fast because of a job loss and not having the money for bills and mortgage, they price it below the market value in hopes of getting multiple bids to drive price back up. Either way housing is about to slow way down, there are lots of indicators supporting that nationwide.
As for jobs, well I know 4 people laid off last year between ages of 43-55. 2 of them found work within 2-3 months, they were both over 50, however, they took jobs that were well below their skill level just to get a foot in the door with the companies. One has been looking for still a better job since day one and can't find a thing and also realizes they are stuck at that job until they have a couple of years there so they don't look like a job hopper.
The other is not looking but is bored and the job is too junior for their experience, both are VP levels. The bored one is trying to fill the day with extra work, but its just not there. This is why hiring the older more experienced worker is not such a good idea, they are usually experts at their jobs and going down a level presents no challenge or learning for them to grow and companies know this and usually pass on these level workers. They are both lucky to have found jobs quickly as they both have families to support, but being miserable at a job you don't like is very stressful. The other 2 people are still looking, but one is trying to get pregnant (43 yo), so perhaps she will not enter back into job market and just be a stay at home mom. and the one still looking is looking all over the country and not having any luck, he is 49, soon to be 50 and losing hope fast. He already sold his home. Its really sad situation.
I'd say the biggest obstacle for most who get laid off is getting the same or better work. Many times, through networking, people take whatever job they can get so they don't lose their home etc.
Well in my million dollar neighborhood there are 2 homes on the market and one had a pending offer after 4 months and then came back on market, perhaps the financing fell through or the inspection found some problems, IDK. The other one has been on market for 2 months with one price droop of $75k. Of course the more expensive neighborhoods take longer to sell, but in my upscale town there are hardly any homes available, its still winter, but there are usually a fair number of homes on market at any given time, I believe people are not selling because things have cooled off in most hot real estate markets and unless you HAVE to sell in winter, you don't sell, you wait until late spring/summer when kids are out of school.
A bad day in America is better than the best day anywhere else. If you don’t like it here get the h l l out troll loser commie
Wow some one on here needs to get away from it all. My neighbors house sold in 24 hours so I’m not sure where you’re living but maybe it’s your neighbors haven’t cleaned their toilets or are asking unrealistic amounts but it’s the tale of two cities. Or glass half full half empty here my goodness you are bitter angry depressed and need an intervention STAT!
its such a great day in the USA.
cheer up. it can only get better, right?
right?
pssst.
listen up.
the housing market is going to crash hard.
they know its coming.
they can't tell you the true job numbers or people would start selling their homes in anticipaption of losing any equity they have. once people see their homes lose a big chunk or all of the equity, you will see people really coming undone as they still have to pay on the outstanding mortgage.
its going to be bad. very bad.
fact is, IT IS DESPERATE OUT THERE IN THE JOB MARKET.
But the news won't tell you that because it will cause panic.
I for one am desperate to find new job and there is nothing. I get interviews, but no offers. Its been over two years for me of steady applying, interviewing and never hearing back from the company or being strung along for 4 months only to be told job is no longer available.
Its my age and I know it. But whatever. I'm selling everything this spring and moving to the woods.
Well between the anticipated layoffs happening all thru 2019 at STT, the fact that there are 3 houses on my street that have been on the market almost a year and no one is buying and the rates are still historically low, I haven't had a decent raise in over 5 years (1-2% is not a decent raise no matter what they tell you), the divide in this country between the political parties and the fact that even though I have a job (for now), have money saved for rainy day, have been looking for a new job for over a year, I still cannot find a job and I am looking everywhere. I am too young to retire and obviously too old to be considered a desirable employee and I am only 44. Things do not look good imho.
Its a lot of smoke in mirrors out there and I don't believe anything I see on the news or the reports of how robust and strong the economy is. Its fragile and broken and at any given moment the wrong "news" can and will bring it tumbling down.

It is harder when your a worker over 50yr with updated skills, the program is no company wants to hire a 50yr+ year old person.
They see us as being too expensive even through we have better work ethnics than many of the younger workers.
I have read many articles for people over 50yr and wasted time at Unemployment taking all the classes they had, and talking to a job coach.
Never take any advice from a job coach since they are being paid by the state.
I had told the coach, " I applied for jobs on third shift which are normally hard to fill since nobody wants to work third shift.
I have even offered to take a 25% pay cut just to get a job.
The response from the coach was " Never be willing to take a cut in salary it makes you look desperate.
I told them " well I rather have a job paying less than no job and continue to live with stress of losing my home.
Serious question, what is a "bug out bag" and where do I get one for my office???
wait till the march jobs report. then we can really have a laugh.
also, if the bank is holding your "money", you aint got jack sh!t.
you seriously cannot be so naive about what is about to go down in this country.
but I digress, this is state street, not the most intelligent group of people.
um, guys, its all going to collapse by summer of 2019....the entire global market is going down. not sure what planet some of you are living on, this has been quite apparent to anyone with half a brain.
stock market c-sino is rigged and you ain't gonna win, no matter what. they made sure everyone has the biggest mortgage possible and as an extra, they made sure the millennial generation had so much student loan debt that they could never afford a home -- these guys also have NO SAVINGS.
you're only kidding yourself if you think this economy is healthy....stagnant wage increases, layoffs galore, shadow bankers fleecing you left and right... but carry on and keep telling yourself its okay.
hope you have a bunker stocked with food and preps, cuz ur gonna need to get away from big cities and people very soon...
oh, and lets not forget that government shut down 2.0 that's coming in two weeks...
tick tock... last thing u should be worried about is your jobs... better have a bug out bag in your office for WHEN, not IF, the SHTF.
SOON....
Oh and I have two years savings in the bank because I’m not an id--t like the other person posting if you’re that stupid money then maybe finance isn’t the career for you?
My guess the people on here are either lying about the role they have or had or how they haven’t found a job There are excellent jobs out there maybe you’ve sat idle for so long you haven’t improved your skills. There’s many online free certifications you can attain if you need to freshen up your resume. Maybe you have a negative persona going into interviews. Who knows but I know people are getting yes white collar VP roles and solid pay too and my role my dept is busy we enjoy our job and one another. It’s not all gloom and doom. Some people want to complain for the sake of complaining or to pretend things are worse to depress the ppl that might lose their job at STT.
what kind of jobs are they talking about??? where are the white collar jobs?
Don't worry, the government will fix everything!
America is so in debt, even jobs can't save her.
Be honest, none of you have a year's savings in bank to pay your bills and eat if you get laid off.
I've been looking for a VP level job for over a year. THERE IS NOTHING OUT THERE and I've been looking all over the country.
What kind of jobs are they talking about? Companies everywhere are cutting back and doing quiet layoffs.
yeah, that new jobs report sure does paint a lovely picture of how strong the economy is... pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
LMAO @ jobs report....yeah riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
except if you're a VP or above and a white male, no jobs for you.
