Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

It’s sad that nobody wants to “take the wheel”

While we all knew that Intel was incapable of finding a decent new CEO, but we all hoped something would change and a good leader figure would emerge. God knows we needed a change of direction and a “breath of fresh air@ at the company. Still, when I read articles like this I feel that reality is hitting us all on the head and I feel devastated about the fact that a company of Intells rank cant find someone willing to lead it. Does anyone feel the same way?

Murthy wont leave. Theyll

Give him a fat multimillion dollar retention bonus. The BOD and Bob will rurn intel into IBM Xerox or GE. Cash cow until the music completely stops. No great employee can be excited by this announcement

Plenty of people wanted to take the wheel but the BoD wanted someone who would not change direction.

In a brief interview with CNBC's Jon Fortt after the announcement, Swan said he wasn't initially interested in the job, but two things changed.

"I went from loving my day job to loving the company," Swan told Fortt. "The second thing: I was asked."

Hope he doesn't transition from loving the company to loving the employees. BK already did that.
