CET and EET used to be on the chopping block because they were failing the Gainful Employment rules. I guess with the new corrupt freaks running the DoE - Gainful Employment rules are probably not enforced anymore.

the sad part about this....student's enrolled in the CET / BEET, honestly think they will be in the field afterwards. the only students working in CET/BEET had prior experiences and needed a degree to justified the interest of job related work. everytime i see a CET/BEET student, I'm like....i hope they have experience and not just ......i heard this field makes money! newsflash not CET/BEET are making it

Please do not be naive. HLC is another scam like ABET approving an engineering program online EET.

EET students can't even do basic calculus or write a mat lab code unless it is given to them to satisfy the weekly pulse check so the professor does not get punished.

I Would not hire any engineers from Devry University.

Honestly , Devry is adulterating the name engineers.

Maybe they should also be told about the deteriorating relationship between faculty and managers...and how the evaluation process is designed to suppress salary increases, and force faculty out without termination, saving the company $$$$...

How many instructors at DeVry are full-time? How many classes do F/T teachers teach and what other duties do they have?

The pay is based on the number of credit hours and the level (title) of the professor. The number of students does not factor in.

Why would pay be the same whether you are teaching 3 students or 40?

What campuses is HLC visiting?

Pay is the same. About 2600$ per 8 week course. Seniority grade of a Faculty might increase the pay by a few hundred

What's the pay like for online versus onsite?

The only way 14 could be an accurate average is if they're counting online and onsite classes. My onsite classes for the last several sessions have ranged from 3 to 10 students -- averaging about 5 or 6 per class -- while my current online class is at 38. It was at 41 before a few dropped out, so online enrollments are obviously not capped at 40 as others have said. I wonder what the cap is, just as I wonder what is the new minimum class size for onsite classes.

Years ago the onsite minimum used to be 10...and then it was 7 for a few years...and now it appears to be 3. Perhaps a maximum for online classes has not been established.

Online classes may have 40 or more students. In a basic or advanced writing course, it is impossible to give individualized or qualitative feed back in discussion and assignments (weekly). It simply cannot be done. Instead, it's a mill--there is not time to offer qualitative feedback. Also, I suspect DeVry is averaging on-site classes (with as few as 3 students) with online students to get their numbers. I routinely taught 80 online (in 2 courses) with a small number in an on-site course. However they're crunching the numbers, that's not chocolate in my milk...

@Xo0EIgK-jcq, can you be more specific about "course loads" and "class sizes" without mentioning location? Have they changed dramatically? I have seen previous posts alluding to an increase in the cap on class sizes. When someone has that many students, how do you retain them? Is it any different at Keller?

NCES reports DeVry's average class size is 14. Does that seem way off?

Course load and class size! They told DeVry to lower both at their last visit.
