Please look up the ADA rules for students that need interpreters. I heard that if they are not provided with interpreters and can't continue with their classes, they don't have to pay back their loans. But I haven't looked it up myself, so I don't know. And it's not the fault of the schools that bills are not being paid. Those in receivership are having all the bills held up for payment and only the schools under the new AI and South companies are being paid. The receiver has to approve everything for payment and it is on a case by case basis. Then I believe he has to ask the government or department of ed for funds to pay bills and wait till they provide some funding.

None of this is true. DCEH has not given official notice to leaders nor the students even though they are unofficially preparing for March 31. The receiver is the ONLY person to make that decision...DCEH doesn’t care that they threw out the March 31 close date...it’s just not official.

This is what Cooper does - classic Cooper - then smacks you down with hard news. This human definitely needs to be locked up and reprogrammed - if it's at all possible.

In DCEH and DCF defense, they are liars and thieves. This is what they do to, Assembly of God leaders need to take a serious look at DCF and how they flipped AU SU and Ai to make a dollar while laying off thousands of employees and scamming trusting students and the Federal Government out of millions of dollars in tuition and financial aid, knowing good and well they would be shutting down and the students would have nothing if value in return.

In their defense they thought many of the students and employees would become destitute and homeless then they could turn to DCF for assistance.

They are just being altruistic helping their fellow humans and they need money to do that humble act.

People will sue, and probably win, but then they can get in a long line behind creditors, landlords, and vendors who have been getting stiffed for months to the tune of millions of dollars. DCEH couldn’t manage a KFC, much less a multi-state school system, but let us not forget the real criminals that drove us here then kicked us out when the vehicle lost control - EDMC and Goldman Sachs, May the rot in a special h3ll.

Are you kidding me? My school closed in December and two of options given to students were finishing their degree online and taking the remaining few courses (online) at one of the remaining AIs. So majority of those students can’t graduate?!

I hope DCEH pays for all of this and then some.

Good! My heart breaks for the students but the sooner they get away from Ai the better! The students have never been the priority and it's time it stops.

rot

that's true - but for those who want it -- it's good for them - I don't blame the others at all.

Connect with your students on Facebook and LinkedIn. Make sure they know you’re willing to be a reference for them or write a letter of recommendation.

Not all students will want to associate with laid off teachers from a defunct school that sold them a phony degree that they’ll be paying off loans and interest well into their retirement years, but maybe a couple will understand.

let's start a group somehow to help students - they won't be able to get their degrees from us but we can at least mentor them in the mean time - they deserve it.

Students at Ai Hollywood know. Faculty have been spreading it like wildfire since this morning. I haven't seen it myself but they have a copy of the official combination that went to the administor.

Feel bad for the students, many just got here a quarter ago from orange county and inland empire after they closed.

Vegas got same notice. Doesn't surprise me.

Vegas hasn't paid the company that hires the ada interpreters since December.

The bill on that is now over $40,000. The company won't send anymore interpreters so the students that require them as part of promised accommodations aren't getting them. Can someone say lawsuit?

Our campus director thinks ok...

Are there any Ai Facebook pages that this can be shared? Get the word out and let the students start calling deans and provost.

Since nearly every degree at Ai requires online classes now as a result of faculty layoffs and declining enrollment, how are the students in the open campuses going to be able to complete their degrees if Online is gone?

AI Hollywood here can confirm. A rather cold email from the fearless CB.

We are told that we need to transfer as many students as possible to 3rd party institutions. AI online is not an option.
