we're not out of the woods.
I think we're out of the woods. They made some cuts and now they are focused on growth. The economy is good, despite the naysayers who are screaming recession is looming. Fact is, no job is safe at any time, you could be fired for saying the wrong thing to a coworker or simply because your boss doesn't like you and wants to replace you. Just go to work and do your job, the grass is never greener at another company, same problems present themselves sooner or later. If you get cut, you deal with it, but worrying and getting yourselves so upset about something that may never happen is a waste of time. A job is just a job. If you lose one, you'll find another.
ss&c does not regularly do lay offs.
I am still skeptical but I do see signs that ss&c is geared toward making more money. This is opposed to laying off low level employees so chiefs and vp's can line there pockets. Ss&c should really take a look at the actions being taken by upper management within dst, dst health, dst pharmacy. These decision makers put the company and its stock price at risk. These individuals at the top are going unchecked and simply do as they please with no regard toward the image of ss&c as a company.
ss&c does not regularly do lay offs. Not part of the culture. Only did them before because of acquisition. If you're waiting around you're going to be waiting a long time.
Why are you waiting to get let go? Given the next round of layoffs won't surpass 5 -10% of total employees, there is a pretty good chance you won't be laid off; 90 - 95% of the people at DST will still have a job.
Please find another job if you are so unhappy. Why stay at a job you hate? I'm sure you are a joy to work with.
Just leave if you’re so miserable. Ffs.
