Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Forecast: we will be taken over or merge with new t mobile in future

Altice europe ceo gets fired and rehired by sprint.

Wireless companies are extending their reach beyond their cell towers via small cell networks. Verizon is doing it but they already own infrastructure in towns and cities. Sprint/ t mobile doesnt.

Altice is upgrading its network with fiber, docsis 3.1, and sprint small cell radios in all their areas.

Hmmmm.....

5g is very fickle would be hard to implement towers have to be real close will not work in urban areas like the arcom and stop trying to minimize techs management if we go your next

Once 5g is up and running union or not there is no need for technicians..5g will run your home smooth..streaming tv will be seamless. Contractors will run the outside work in case storms take down fiber lines, this will take a while no doubt but stay woke and try to find a way to get out the cable industry period. Oh yea i worked for optimum for 8 years and left a year into the Altice take over..had fun working and had a lot of great times. But i knew even with optimum 5g will kill techs n knew i needed to look for other options.

Cellular is a good way to go in the future with 5g but just like a 5g on a router it can’t go that far so they will have to put up a lot more towers especially in areas that they don’t have fiber . Verizon is going to hang units off their Fios like we do for sprint to help their 5g but If you can get a direct fiber line to your premise , nothing will ever be faster then light

That’s really what they need to do is get into the cell game cause the future is 5G.
