Argosy doesn’t have your money. The federal receiver, Mark Dottorre has it. His firm’s info is on the internet. You should contact him. The feds gave him your money a long time ago. He’s just been holding it.
What campus are you from?
I believe I just found who to contact. This is an issue for me as well. I was ignored, no one returned any of my phone calls, and once I spoke of hiring an attorney I get all the communication I didn't months before. I'm filing a complaint with the attorney general now.
I am going through the same thing and have been for a month now.
I also am going through the same and my stipend has been held from October. I already graduated and still have not received any of my money. I wrote the attorney general, BBB and reported it to the local news. Why are they not giving students their money?
:(
Contact the Attorney General for the state the school is in. That state's Board of Education and the Better Business Bureau. Also the accrediting body for the school and every newspaper. The louder the voice - the stronger the impact.
I am going through the same thing. I am frustrated and trying to figure out who to contact. -Shanea
Argosy has been holding on to my stipend and everyone else's within my classes. We have been told that first it was due to partial government shutdown (which obviosuly wasnt true), the Department of Education never actually paid and had all stipends on hold (not true, I spoke to them and they said they released payment on the 7th of January and on top of that my stipend is generated from my veteran benefits), they needed to go through special training to be able to release stipends and everything would be generated on 2/1/2019 (wasn't true nothing was generated at all), and that because they have been withholding my veteran benefit credit that they could expedite my stipend release and to expect it by 1/28/209 (never came through and then was told by another financial aid counselor that they process doesnt even exist). I have had previous issues with it take longer to get my stipend but never to this length. Per their policy stipends will be generated NO LATER THAN 14 days, and I along with everyone else I know at this school, has recieved no monies and can not reach anyone at the school. Also being told that we shouldnt disenroll and that everything will be fine that this is all just formalities. Who knows whats going on and what happens to the FAFSA and other benefits that are being used to pay for this education that now all of a sudden is being claimed that it isnt even there even though there is proof of payments?
