During the last two weeks Nvidia has removed +300 positions from its website. That is about 25% to 30% of the opened positions at the end of January
Definite hiring freeze, team consolidations and trimming of the fat to come. Weak managers are starting to take it out on their reports, the writing is on the wall.
I work here and nobody is talking 30%, that'd be insane. Hiring freeze...
There is a company-wide hiring freeze (including replacement hires) and a travel freeze going on. layoff is possible but not 30%, lol.
Thirty percent would be insanely huge. They’d start with axing all contractors first (that’s started). Also insane cost cutting going on. A layoff wouldn’t shock but 30% would be insane.
