Here is my story. I am a copy center associate, so pretty low on the Staples ladder. As a matter of fact, I do not think you can get any lower. The pay s---s, and the hours are sometimes unpredictable. I am to leave in about a month and I am ok with this. I guess what I want to say is that I’ve had a chance to learn a lot here and I’ve been observing managers and higher ups how they behave, what they want and how they drive things. I know things are not that great at Staples and I am aware of many things that are simply bad, but for me this worked out. I learned, made some money along the way and I hope to get my AA degree in accounting at my local community college in June and we’ll see what happens after that. I hope I continue at the State college and get my BA in a few years, fingers crossed I am ready to put in the work. So, thing may look better in a few years, more money, etc. I know it’s a long rant but this is for all entry level associates, keep your chin up, do the good work, get the money, get some experience and when ready move on – if you are in a position to get more education along the way, that’s even better – things will continue to improve if you are persistent and ready to put in the work. Thanks for reading and good luck to all Staples employees.

Good luck and get that degree and then a Masters. Don't worry about the GPA, get the degree, go in debt if you have to but play it smart (scholarships, grants, family funding, part time jobs).
When you're done. Live on a couch and pay down that debt fast. Every day counts. Interest compounds.
But it's well worth it. Once you get past the haze of learning and paying down you will be free and clear and in a way better position financially than most.
I applaud you for being low on the totem and being interested enough to post here. And hey, we all start somewhere. It's where you go that matters!
good luck to you!
