Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Qcom era is over ?

I worked for qcom 23 years, up and downs, over the years, but now clearly sky is falling on our head. I don’t think even Jesus would rescue from this catastrophic situation. I don’t even I get another job after working with the same skill set. My gut feeling is that lay off is going to be huge and if you escaped this time, will haunt to you in the next lay off that will be pretty soon after this.

Don’t worry consumers are willing to pay $1000 to upgrade their phones every two years.

Does anybody realize 5G is simply an artificially created project by workers in wireless communications to feed themselves rather than genuine market needs?

I guess a lot of the layoffs are now on hold pending decision in FTC case. Then there the consumer class action to fight and Apple lined up for their day in court late summer.

Perhaps the layoffs will be a summer of discontent ahead of the inevitably delayed 5G stuff. That 5G revenue is delayed again. Will be interesting to see the tone from analysts at annual March meeting.
