Interviewing with the PMIC VI

I am interviewing with the PMIC VI group ins San Diego for staff engineer position. I haven't had an offer yet but things are going well so far. Is it a good group to join? I have to relocate to take this role.

Good idea to get a severance package within one year!

In the PMIC the "Good" is "Sudden" "Bad" :)

Seriously stay away. Not a good team to join regardless your skill level.

One of the worst teams at Qcom. Terrible managers. Very low tech work that can be done by technicians or fresh college grads. If you have technical skills don't bother to join. Since it is low tech group, your performance will be evaluated based on how the gang members like you not based on the hard work you put it. Very bad and rude Chinese director who can't speak English and favors his kind.

How did I know? I worked there and couldn't stand the low morale so I switched groups and couldn't be any happier since then.

Go for it. Everybody needs to make one really stupid career decision. This is the only way to gain true wisdom.
