Fake PIP’s

I was in a group that had a ton of bogus PIPs. What they do is not an official PIP through HR that's filed with the company, but still give you some bogus c-ap that your performance is bad and you have been officially warned (again, but not an official PIP, though HR helps you through this fake PIP process). Then they make your life miserable until you quit. My group had as many as 30-40% of the people on these fake PIPs and almost none of them were not bad performers, not even by a stretch. This is a new VP's way to clean out the group to bring in his own cronies. Much easier than official PIP and it gets the person out which is their ultimate goal.

Cheap b--tards, is right.

This activity appears to happen frequently at Juniper. It must help fund the bloated salaries of the incompetent butt-licking managers, directors, VPs, and CxOs.

All this will get exposed in due time, and the worthless HR team together with the id--ts they support in engineering, marketing, and sales will pay a hefty price for it.

I heard few from India office was let go with similar Fake PIPs. one them was given reason as he/she did not set recurring meeting as suggested by his manager! so put him in PIP!! seriously crazy reasoning!

I know marketing implements PIPs. Whether they are fake or real is unknown. Sales uses the unrealistic sales targets to motivate people to leave. Engineering usually uses dates... get something completed.by some target date or else... That's how it all works out at Juniper AFIK.
