Thread regarding CVS layoffs

I am so fed up with this new coupon system

This new coupon system is making it so hard to actually take care of the customer the way they supposedly want us to. Taking away the mfr coupon button is beyond stupid. Now we are supposed to apply the coupon amount by price modifying the item. For instance, I had a specific problem the other day.

— if a coupon doesn’t apply so for example $ 4 off $18 hair care and you have to price modify an item for the coupon amount, and that item has spend $15 get 3 ECB, the extra buck won’t print because u didn’t spend the $10 cuz u price modified for the coupon

— a woman bought vitamins buy one get one free but her mfr coupon wouldn’t apply to it for some reason even though it was valid. I had to price modify the first vitamin for 4 dollars off to apply the coupon amount then had to modify the second vitamin for 0. So much extra work!!!

I’ll pretty sure some people in a corporate office somewhere came up with this and have never actually worked the register trying to help non English speaking couponers while trying to maintain an friendly and caring demeanor while being so frustrated you could scream!!

Yes, our coupon system is terrible. It always has been and likely always will be. I don't mean to jinx it but at least we can still override it for now. Until they take the coupon issue button away next.

Listen.......not to worry, as this Company is already at a $70B loss, as a result of the merger, and one step away from a junk bond rating. Just don't invest in CVS stock, and find a better job.

CVS only gets reimbursed for what scans at the register. They don’t sort out those coupon bags.

By reducing the price of the product you are depriving your state of tax money that would of been collected if the mfr coupon went thru. (CVS still gets reimbursement on the coupon sent in)

Another corporate CVS ethic violation. Where does this show up on community responsibility?

Do you know what items apply for hair care? Keep in mind, there are items that are excluded. I honestly prefer the new system, have not had much problems. Since the update the couponers seem to understand the policy more, and as a result are less likely to complain and or try to convince the cashier to do excessive manual coupons.

Also seen a decrease on refund scams.

All you have to do is issue them e.b. In the amount of the coupon!

Not to mention how you have to do all these unnecessary math problems and figure out a way for all these coupons apply while you are the only person working FS because of all the hour cuts
