Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Digital in BHGE

BHGE Digital, similar to GE Digital, has been a money-loser since day one, with no viable products except reselling GED software. Discussion on related board:

Many people in SR and elsewhere have been given notices. More will be getting in March. The remaining will go back to businesses. The product team is dismantling. They never produced any viable product all these years. Only the AI team would stay - not sure doing what. Rumor is they are looking to sell AI to C3. LOL. Lorenzo seems to have finally woken up, though those actions are too late and too little. An expensive misadventure is shutting down, similar to GED.

The term is fake... Digital...

Invented by Accenture to sell high margin consulting work, took off as unicorns penetrated the market.

Everyone wants to be uber now, will never happen to any legacy business.

Fake and waste of r&d money

Legacy software from Baker was actually getting good traction with clients - and GE killed those products and instead ploughed everything into their piece of sh*t IntelliStream which noone wants.

Matthias and the oracle boys are responsible. Legacy baker had better software but they shut everything down and stole all development teams to create sh-- that doesn’t work.
