Yes, layoffs happened at Silver Line Windows but very few. Many people left by themselves because they knew they weren't worth the ridiculous salaries they were paid by Andersen. LOL. Thank goodness, now Silver Line can retool and fix its portfolio instead of doling out salary. The RD&I department was c-ap. They had an aging portfolio mainly designed during the time of the pre-Andersen owners. I am all for diversity but Andersen put many incompetent leaders in the RD&I group just for the sake of diversity. These people had no design experience, just pure administrators/politicians. They are primarily responsible for driving the company to its knees by not being able to innovate.
layoffs may happen at Silver Line windows because Ply Gem has a lean operation while Silver Line has layers of management. Their engineers were also overpaid by Andersen.
