Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Curious

I think there’s a lot of geresay abd innuendo on this thread. Unless there are hard facts being put on here you’re dealing with spammers, trolls and disgruntled Forbes employees.

Wecall heard the comments from O’Hanley there will fe lstoffs, there will be hard times but this rush out the door is reckless and unrealistic. Don’t get caught up in the hype. Do your job keep your resume up to date send a few feeler applications out there but do not get desperate That’s what the trill is trying to invoke fear hysteria and anxiety. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. It can take 6 months to a tear to find a job that fits your needs but save your money live modestly and you’ll weather this storm too. Good luck out there it’s not the end of the world.

Well thank Pete we have a President who has reduced the number of H1-B and Green Cards so Americans can get the jobs in America.

To all the "State Street employees" that are complaining, what troll farm do you all work for? I want to troll your message board.

"State Street (NYSE:STT) jumps 8.2% after announcing it's plans to cut about 6% of its workforce, or about 1,500 jobs, to cut costs"

every time they need to boost share price, they'll do a layoff.

Given what’s been leaked to the public about the magnitude of these future layoffs, can you imagine what they’re not telling you....

Your post reminds me of that guy in the movie “Office Space”, he gets laid off and he doesn’t believe he lost his job, so he keeps showing up to work and they put his desk in the hallway, and they let him keep his stapler, lol.

Get real, massive layoffs are coming!!!!!

The denial runs deep in this post.

STT is collapsing. This time next year, none of you will be employed at STT....unless you move to India.

Lmao.

Nice try. Everyone with half a brain is looking for a new job. Sounds like you want people to be passive about looking for a new job so the competition won’t be as harsh.

Recruiter told me 100s of resumes are from STT employees, desperate to find work.

The carnage is coming, don’t wait for a pink slip, find a job now.

Tell yourself what ever you have to .... but STT is a sinking ship. Only the truly talented will hustle and find a new job before they get pushed out.

Better to find a job now than be laid off and have to take a way worse job out of desperation.

Great advice. That way everyone isn’t applying for the same jobs at once.

I figured you could deduce my comment despite the corrections.

Yes I have a job no I do not do it in my phone typing

You’re comment have a few errors too.

No one hasn’t seen the globalization of jobs no matter what career you may have this isn’t new it’s been happening since the 80’s

Look spreading fear doesn’t help anyone. I’ve dealt first hand with job loss with family members it’s scary and tumultuous but you eventually get back on your feet

A little prepping helps and seeing others getting pink slips certainly doesn’t stoke confidence but you need to compartmentalize and focus on your job and your future. Getting tunnel vision will not help you Stop stoking negativity we see the news we’re not ignorant.

You have a ton of spelling mistakes and typo's , and you have a job YIKES !!!!!!!!!!!

And yes a lot of the posts are from Former Hard Working Employees who , work hard to make

STT the great company it was from 1960 to 2000.

Who went 2 to 3 years without raises due to the problems at STT

Its back enough when your job is outsourced, but its even worse when you see the desks of former workers being filled by H1-B workers from India. Who been here for over 5+++ years.
