DCEH laid off pretty much everyone from South University, Argosy University and The Art Institutes in Arizona yesterday.
I was one of the enrollment counselors at South to be laid off. We didn’t get any warning. No severance and there is an uncertainty that we will get our final paychecks.
This company is a bunch of crooks who does not appreciate all the hard work we did for them.
I thought South was not included in the receivership. Are the campuses closing or laying off as well or just online. This is a cluster f--- and a half
I think "no warning" is a bit of an overstatement. Unless you weren't paying attention for the past 5 years....
Considering every executive either quit or was let get weeks ago, I think things went as well as could be expected. That is not to say it wasn't horrible because it was but there was no one left to make those decisions.
Which building were you at?
Dunno how much professionalism you expect from an HR department that got wind of their own walking papers before you did

I'm a vendor and the failed to pay me for the last 5 months! One of many I'm told.
The gave a generic packet that says your final check will be issued feb 2, which is next payday and that you have medical till end of month..they should be ashamed at lack of professionalism that was displayed on Tuesday.
I would think they would have to give you your final pay check. That is scary.
