Let me start by saying that I love working at Synamedia. I like the people I work with, we are up to date on our technology, the pay and benefits are competitive...
Yet it seems lately like we are stuck in place, and that's causing us to lose market share. Which in turn could easily lead to layoffs before we are able to catch up.

As with so many private equity companies its short term greed that motivated the purchase not long term viability. Take control and manage your career accordingly.
This is bottom line. No pay rises for 2-3 years. Bonuses slashed [if any are paid at all] and NO share options. Lean times at Synamedia until they can unfxxk it.
I'm not too worried as this was all planned ... the transition was set for 18 months. Cisco will owe money to Synamedia to buy-back the ongoing contracts, so this is probably still being nego'ed . All the new and renewed contracts will be done so under Synamedia... and we're still early in the year (CY and Transition timeline).
So far, I don't see a loss of business. The sales teams and the supporting teams are full steam ahead.
No, you are not being paranoid. The company is bleeding capital, and efforts are underway to start consolidating product teams and closing U.S. sites. Layoffs have already occurred and will continue for some time. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
