Received two emails last week that DCEH had nothing to do with the Ai’s anymore, yet when I was let go today my lay-off paperwork was from DCEH and the reason they gave for no severance was the receivership....lies all lies

The Ais in CA, Seattle, Vegas and Pgh stayed with DCEH. If you are at one of those locations, that's why.
Yes control of south university, theyre the financial backers of south and the remaining 7 ai’s. Schools run by board of trustees but the $ will come from EPF.

At least I know when I am fired it’ll be from the company DCEH who bought out my company EDMC.
I wonder if EFP will ever take control of the remaining AI locations or if it’s all some corporate shell game. And if they turn out to be “ real” how could anyone trust them?
I dont believe EPF has fully taken control of south or the 7 ai’s- which enables dceh via recievership (hence no severence) to lay you off.
Id imagine that wont fully happen until the end of the week due to payroll.
Have an attorney review. I am sure you can obtain the emails previously sent. How can a company that no longer "owns" your school terminate your position?
I wondered the same. I THOUGHT mine would have come from EPF or South University! Makes me leary of who to file unemployment against and who will take responsibility! SMH
