Just to be clear, its 10% of all corp headcount. The 4 businesses (IIS, IDS, SAS and RMS) are not included in this. We won’t know who will be affected until 3/25 with a layoff date of 3/31. Not much time to plan :/

Management was so proud of the 2.8 billion made in sales of last year and gave applause to GBS and REPS for the hard work and well done job . What happened now?

VOL or involuntary by end of March! Really??? How do you expect the moral will be till then?

Should we start editing our resumes and apply for jobs?

Just wait, anyone near fully vesting will be targeted....don't believe everything the SLT says

My understanding is this was offered to all of GBS with no age or level restrictions. Must be approved and not guaranteed which means essential personnel may get rejected. Severance is 1 week per year seniority up to 26. I don’t see how this would minimize pension commitments significantly. Great offer/opportunity IMHO.

Sounds like another post 50+ age purge in an effort to dodge/minimize pension committments IMHO

You can downvote all you like, doesn't make it any less true.

The real scoop. Corporate layoff of a 10% head count reduction by vlo and ivlo. Tom Kennedy mandate with SLT not knowing till late last week. Everyone out my end of March. Another great move as Tom didn’t even say anything. Nice job on tax breaks.

It was a GBS announcement. No Location (there are people in multiple states). No Numbers given. Currently asking for Voluntary layoffs. If enough aren't accepted there will be involuntary layoffs with the last day of work being the end of March.
