The newer, less paid you are than the older tenured worker, the safer you are until END OF 2019.
All areas are getting laid off, rest of jobs needed will be overseas.
Pray the merger happens later rather than sooner...
Layoffs will all happen by END OF 2019. Plan accordingly. They've given you ample notice to make arrangements for what's coming.

Your a new hire which means your a ChEAP LOW COST WORKER , who is safe until you get too expensive and your replaced by a cheaper worker
Well to be fair the announcement is still relatively new I’m sure certain ppl and depts are more targeted than others.
I’m in the camp of I’m going to delude myself until it happens and not sweat it.
