They're opening up food banks, allowing rent, mortgage and utility bills to be put on hold. Only for furloughed government workers who will RECEIVE BACK PAY!!!!
No public sympathy or help for private sector employees LAID OFF in droves!!

It can take several weeks just to receive that first unemployment check.
Public sector workers aren't losing their jobs and they are going to receive BACK PAY for thier vacation!
Learn the difference.

Private sector laid off employees can collect unemployment.
Public sector workers on furlough cannot.

With some exceptions and inconveniences, the government employees love the furlough. It is essentially a paid vacation for them. Some of the folks you see on TV might be having financial challenges, but they have alternatives. My guess is most of them either like to be on camera or are professional agitators. The media will genuflect to them and not dig into that.
When I was growing up, I thought the private sector was the place to be, but now I realize how great it is to have a federal government job. Don't believe a word you hear about poor pay; they will have outstanding pensions for the rest of their lives that most private-sector employees only dream about, and of course, rarely are laid off. Because, as I heard somewhere, what we allow to continue, will continue.
And you know we had to bail out GM!

My neighbor's wife got new boobs after her breast surgery and her insurance paid for it and gets to have fun for nothing!
I have to pay unemployment even though I will never collect it!
