Thread regarding State Street Corp. layoffs

Maybe it’s just ptsd

But I feel like it’s going to be 2007 all over again and when all is said and done that will be the good old days comparatively speaking.

I have no optimism or hope or illusions the other investment banks will skim the cream of the crop and the rest of us can go get a job at...hmm where can we get a job at?

Luke I said, 2007 the good old days compared to this impending doom.

I was let go after 25 years of service, but to be honest I was thrilled.

Since 2003 I dreaded the annual layoffs being done each year, the 1st few years wasn't bad since the number of people being let go was small.

But then around 2008 the yearly number increased to a few hundred each year.

I do miss the 5 weeks vacation and my $59.500 salary.

But I do not miss the stress of a double work load, the stress of being forced to work with less coworkers.

Getting the famous yearly pep top from the Boss, " Be grateful you survived the layoff and still have a job.

Reality bites doesn’t it. I’m still in shock but I have gone on job boards to peruse. So depressing because you know what lay offs are inevitable just live well below your means and you might weather the storm with less scars than others but it takes a toll either way. Trust me I know from family first hand experience it’s bad sad demoralizing depressing and scary and no matter how great of a either you are you are expendable

You can't talk truth to people at State Street or on this board, they'll accuse you of talking Doom and gloom.

Well I don't know what is more doomy and gloomy than one of Boston's oldest companies selling out to the globalist over lords and leaving 20,000 people without a job.

SMH...

Welcome to the New World Order. Where everyone thinks globalism is great.... until they take your job overseas and leave you behind because that other culture with a different value system can do your job for 1/8 of the cost.

You think it's bad now? Just wait till they tell you the currency is changing to a one world currency.. .then we can all cry together, lol. This hasn't even gotten started, you people are in for a rude awakening to what's coming for this country.

Oh yeah, good times ahead....

That's why you want to get rid of any debts you have.

Everyone who has half a brain feels it, too.

We are in for some dark times.

It's going to be worse than 2007.

And no bail outs this time.

The problem this time is we never really solved the issues from 2007 and the debt bubble in this country is going to to really be the reason everyone's house of cards comes crashing down.

There is no way around this.

Today, if you are paying attention, you are seeing the evidence if some news in the market that no one is really paying attention to that is going to be the catalyst of what's finally coming.

No, good times are not ahead. And everyone is going to feel the pain, even the rich.

Wait for it....its coming.
