Definitely what happened. All while Lee makes himself chairman of the board. What a loser.

Second-hand, heard OK office was more of a layoff than anticipated. A real clown show where several who had just been (< 6 months) relocated from Houston did not receive offers to return.

This is the problem with putting all your eggs in unconventional resource basket... They can navigate through the ups and downs

OKC had a town hall where the regional VP presented a timeline for official offers (Jan 28-30) back to Houston and the deadline to accept or decline (March) and final date to be in Houston (Aug 1). If people decline, they supposedly can work in OKC through July and get a severance. If they leave earlier, no severance. What they didn’t cover was info about people not getting offers to go back and what happens to them. They were told that they were guaranteed work through July and severance but MRO has a history of being sneaky and brutal so... Rumor is that more people will be let go than they let on. The early message was that this was in no way a way to lay off people but that a couple may not get offers. At least one person that is not seen as a low or even mediocre performer has been told they don’t have an offer to go back so there may be truth to the rumor. Unfortunately the executive leaders at Marathon only know how to solve issues by cutting staff because they aren’t smart enough to find other ways to navigate volatility. People will see next week. Good luck OKC people.
