Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

His Mentality is What's Wrong With Q, & He is a Lousy Head of Development

On Friday in court, the FTC confronted Qualcomm Chief Technology Officer James Thompson with a 2014 email exchange between him and Mollenkopf in which the CTO suggests "striking back at Apple while we’re strong" amid licensing negotiations. JT is a nice guy but is unaware of his mediocrity. It's crazy stupid that QC promoted him to CTO.

If true about that email, JT needs to be fired. Qualcomm cannot condone executives who are so stupid. If true, JT at a minimum conspired to break the law. Same goes for SM and any other unethical employee.

Jim Thompson is an excellent head of engineering. He listens with full attention in meetings, is very polite and has a very broad and deep understanding of technology. Please don't disrespect him and his work.
