An important message about the closure of Argosy University campuses

Dear Employee,

The past few years have been a time of enormous change for Argosy University, Phoenix (to include Argosy University, Online Programs). Efforts to transform the university have faced stiff headwinds. It is with great disappointment that I share the news that operations at Argosy University, Phoenix (to include online programs) will end, effective immediately and the campus is closed.

We have been working day and night since taking over operations for Dream Center Education Holdings in receivership, trying to secure a path forward for students, for employees and for the institutions. Despite every effort made, we cannot move forward given the decision by the Department of Education to terminate Title IV aid for Argosy University.

This means that many positions at the campus and online will be eliminated. If you are impacted, you will receive a notice from Human Resources with the details of your separation.

We are working with our accreditors, state regulators and the U.S. Department of Education to provide options for our students to complete their education. We will continue to work with students to identify sources to complete their education and are sending them notice of the campus closure immediately.

Thank you for all that you have done on behalf of your students and on behalf of this institution. I wish you the very best in your future endeavors.

Reps from the department of education were at Argosy Los Angeles this morning answering questions for students. If Argosy meets deadlines given by Dept of Ed and WASC, and WASC approves application, students from Argosy and Ai (Schools under Argosy and accredited by WASC) May be able to transfer credits to another WASC accreditated college and graduate.

Great research Las Vegas news, one source and no vetting. I would be surprised if the accreditors approved this.

As a former employee at the Argosy Pittsburgh office ( I was a black sheep from day one because I would not bend to their shady ways, so I was one of the first to get let go months ago.) Students, please do not fall for the quote above, trust me! They will just throw you into another garbage school which will give you a worthless degree. Please take time to do your own research and find an actual reputable school. Many credits probably wouldn't transfer to a "real" University but at least you will get a real education. I still never got my seperation papers, and i was part of the wave of layoffs February 7th. I emailed someone in HR and no response. Should I expect any less? Nope, just par for the course.

San Diego, Hollywood, Seattle all closed. Today was the last day.

Any word on Ai Las Vegas, San Diego, Hollywood and Seattle?
