Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

Was faculty officially notified their jobs ended?

Are they going to be fired through job abandonment? To avoid paying unemployment?

Does anyone one have a DCEH number for whomever would approve expense reports? It’s been over a month and still nothing. Doubtful I’ll ever see it tbh but figured this could be one last shot. Wouldn’t be a big deal but it is for over 1k

Can't happen. If you're not getting paid you are officially unemployed. Go file an unemployment claim and you will be approved.

Q:Are they going to be fired through job abandonment? To avoid paying unemployment?

A: Yes, This has happened @ other AI's that closed in December. I have spoke to faculty that are in this situation.

Good question. Have not received any formal separation paperwork.

We have LOA's specifying 11 weeks of salary in our 'contracts'.

The students paid for 11 weeks of instruction and are receiving 9 weeks of coursework.

Will they receive a refund based on a prorated course schedule?
